How to Manage Multiple Services and Domains in Your Account

Many SakuraHost clients manage more than one website, domain, or service under a single account. Whether you're a web developer managing client sites, a business with multiple brands, or an entrepreneur with several online projects, our client area at billing.sakurahost.co.tz provides centralized management for all your services.

Your Services Dashboard

After logging in, your client area dashboard provides an at-a-glance overview of all your active services, pending invoices, and recent support tickets. The Services > My Services section lists every hosting package, VPS, dedicated server, and add-on you've purchased, along with their current status and next due date.

Managing Multiple Hosting Packages

If you have several hosting plans — for example, a shared hosting plan for your personal blog and a business hosting plan for your company website — each appears as a separate line item under My Services. For each service, you can:

  • Access cPanel directly via the "Login to cPanel" button
  • View resource usage (disk, bandwidth, email accounts)
  • Upgrade or downgrade the plan
  • Change the billing cycle
  • View and download associated invoices
  • Request cancellation
  • Manage DNS settings if the domain is registered with us

Domain Management

All domains registered through SakuraHost are listed under Domains > My Domains. For each domain, you have access to:

DNS Management

Edit your domain's DNS records (A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV) directly from the client area. This is particularly useful for pointing domains to different hosting services, configuring email delivery (MX records), or setting up domain verification (TXT records for Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, etc.).

Nameserver Configuration

Change your domain's nameservers to point to SakuraHost's nameservers, a third-party DNS provider like Cloudflare, or custom nameservers. Our default nameservers are displayed on the domain management page.

Domain Locking

Keep your domain locked (Registrar Lock / clientTransferProhibited) to prevent unauthorized transfers. Unlock it only when you intend to transfer the domain to another registrar.

WHOIS Privacy

Enable ID Protection to keep your personal details private in the public WHOIS database. This is available as a free or paid add-on depending on the TLD.

Auto-Renewal Settings

Configure whether your domain should auto-renew when it approaches expiration. We recommend keeping auto-renewal enabled and ensuring your account has a valid payment method or sufficient credit balance.

Tip: For .co.tz domains and other ccTLDs managed through Tanzania's registry, some features like WHOIS privacy may have limited availability. Contact our domain team for specific ccTLD details.

Addon Domains vs. Separate Hosting Plans

Understanding the difference helps you make cost-effective decisions:

  • Addon Domains: Additional domains hosted within a single cPanel hosting account. They share the hosting plan's resources (disk space, bandwidth, CPU). Ideal for small sites with moderate traffic. Managed within cPanel under Domains > Addon Domains
  • Separate Hosting Plans: Each domain gets its own cPanel account with dedicated resources. Better for high-traffic sites, different clients' websites, or when you need strict resource isolation
Resource Sharing Warning: Addon domains share all resources with the primary domain. If one site experiences a traffic spike, it can affect the performance of all other sites on the same hosting account. For mission-critical websites, we recommend separate hosting plans.

Managing SMS Services Alongside Hosting

If you also use SakuraHost's bulk SMS platform at sms.sakuragroup.co.tz, your SMS credits and usage are managed through a separate dashboard. However, your billing for SMS credits appears under the same client area invoices, making it easy to track all your SakuraHost expenses in one place.

Consolidated Billing

When you have multiple services with different billing cycles, our system generates separate invoices for each service based on its individual cycle. However, if multiple services come due on the same date, they may be consolidated into a single invoice for convenience. You can view all invoices — past and present — under Billing > My Invoices.

Sub-Accounts and Contact Management

For businesses with multiple team members who need access to the client area, you can create sub-accounts with specific permissions:

Add a New Contact

Navigate to Contacts/Sub-Accounts from the dropdown menu under your name. Click "Add New Contact" and fill in the contact's details.

Set Permissions

Choose which areas the sub-account can access: billing and invoices, support tickets, product/service management, domain management, or email history. Assign only the permissions necessary for their role.

Enable Login Access

Toggle on "Activate Sub-Account" and set a password. The sub-account user will receive login credentials via email and can access the client area with restricted permissions.

Organizing Your Services

Here are some best practices for managing multiple services effectively:

  • Use descriptive labels: Add notes to each service in cPanel or the client area to identify which project or client it belongs to
  • Align billing cycles: Consider setting all services to the same billing cycle (e.g., annual) for simpler financial tracking
  • Monitor renewals: Check the Services > My Services page monthly to ensure no renewals are missed
  • Keep contact info current: Update your email address and phone number so you receive all billing notifications and renewal reminders
  • Regular backups: Use cPanel's backup wizard for each hosting account to maintain independent backups of all your sites
