You can renew a domain from the client area in a few clicks, and we recommend turning on auto-renewal so it never expires by accident.

Overview

Domains are registered for a set term, usually one year. Before the end, an invoice is created for the renewal. Paying that invoice extends the domain for another term.

Why it happens

  • Renewal is not automatic until you enable auto-renew and keep a working payment method.
  • Reminders go to the email on your account, so an outdated email means missed notices.

What it means

Paying on time keeps your website, email and brand name safe. Late payment risks downtime and, in the worst case, losing the name.

How to fix it

  1. Sign in to the client area and open My Domains.
  2. Select your domain and choose Renew, or open the renewal invoice under Invoices.
  3. Pay with M-Pesa, Mixx by Yas, Airtel Money, bank or the other methods shown on the invoice.
  4. Turn on Auto Renew on the domain page.
  5. Check your account email is current under your profile.
