Every website platform asks for the same kind of thing: an A record for the root domain and a CNAME for www. Copy the exact values from your platform and add them in your SakuraHost DNS.
Overview
Website builders and app hosts do not host your domain, they only need your domain to point at them. SakuraHost keeps the domain and its DNS records.
Why it happens
- Each platform has its own server addresses, so there is no single set of values for all of them.
What it means
If you copy the platform's values exactly, the connection works. The platform usually verifies automatically and then switches on HTTPS.
How to fix it
- Find the DNS or custom domain page in your platform and read the records it asks for.
- In the SakuraHost client area open your domain and choose DNS Records.
- Add each record exactly: type, name (use
@or leave blank for the root domain), and value. - Remove any old A record on the same name that conflicts.
- Save, wait a few minutes to a few hours, and verify in the platform.
- For Blogger, there is a dedicated guide: point a custom domain to Blogger.

Frequently asked questions
The platform wants me to change nameservers. Is that okay?
Yes, it is allowed. Set them in the Nameservers tab of your domain, then manage all records at the platform.
Will my email keep working?
Yes, if you do not change nameservers and keep your MX records.
