Renewal reminders, verification emails and invoices go to the email address on your account and your domain. Check both are one you read every day.
Overview
SakuraHost sends important notices to the email in your client area profile, and the registrar uses the email on the domain registration. If either is old, you can miss a renewal or verification.
Why it happens
- People change emails and forget to update accounts.
- A free email address may fill up or be closed.
What it means
A wrong address means missed renewals, missed verification emails and suspended services. Updating it takes a minute.
How to fix it
- Sign in to the client area and open your account details.
- Update the email and phone number and save.
- Open My Domains, choose a domain, open Contact Information and update it for each domain.
- Add a second contact email if possible, for example a company address.
- Whitelist our sending address so notices do not land in spam.

Frequently asked questions
Will changing the email affect my services?
No. Your services stay the same, only notices go to the new address.
Do I need to verify the new email?
For global domains, a verification email may be sent. See ICANN verification.
